What are my services worth?
Beginning January 1st 2012, SwissDRG (Swiss Diagnosis Related Groups) will be the new currency in the healthcare.
With the introduction of SwissDRG, Casemix-points will be used to define the value of your services. With the help of MySwissDRG, however, you can calculate already today what your turnover in the new currency will be. By multiplying the Casemix-points with the base rate, the value of your services will be expressed in Swiss Francs.
The question of value of inpatient treatments will not be an issue for hospital directors only. Aren’t you personally interested to know what your assignment is worth? What you personally contribute to the turnover of your hospital in your capacity as a contractual doctor, as an assistant or senior doctor? What kind of treatments are the most frequent ones invoiced by specialists? Whether your patient’s stay at the hospital is longer or shorter than an average case in Switzerland and how your services would be valued in another Canton?
